Dayton is jam packed with academic institutions like Wright State University, the University of Dayton, Sinclair CC, School of Advertising Art, & Clark State CC. Along with significant research and development happening at Wright-Patt Air Force Base in industrial, aeronautical and astronautical engineering! There are also a vast network of large companies & corporations mixed in with sprouting local businesses. We have been known as a Central Hub between the two major cities Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio.

For families with children, there are plenty of attractions to make life long memories in the Dayton area. For some downtown fun, try visiting: The Boonshoft Museum, Dayton Art Institute, Carillon Historical Park, or Riverscape. Maybe see a show at the Schuster Center, spend a morning exploring The Second Street Market or hit up a Dayton Dragons game! There is also a fantastic historic neighborhood named The Oregon District that strives itself on being local & overly welcome to everyone! There is an abundant array of restaurants, breweries, shops, & outside leisure, hangout spots right on the Miami River. To cut to the chase, we highly recommend venturing Downtown!!

When you crave divine ice cream, feel like practicing your golf swing, or just want a fun place to take your kids, you’re destined to visit Young’s Jersey Dairy. If you’re in the mood for a scrumptious dinner or a fancy date night out, visit The Pine Club Steak House (which was ranked in the Food Network’s Top 5 Steakhouses in the U.S.). Other local treasures include: Yellow Springs: a vibrant, unique place to explore local shops or visit the Yellow Springs Brewery. The Greene Shopping Center: which is a urban scale mall which includes all the shops and restaurants you could ever need! Scene 75, the Dixie Drive In Movie theater are must-go-to’s for some family fun. Also, don’t forget to scope out the next exciting concert or event at The Nutter Center.

Seek adventure or love being outside? Dayton is made up of the nation’s largest paved trail network, 3 State Designated Water Trails, along with award winning mountain biking, hiking, and events. You don’t have to go far to stumble upon one of our seven MetroParks, each with a unique experience. If you dig local produce and farmer’s markets, then you’ll feel right at home here. Dayton is brimming with farmer’s markets featuring local produce.
